MCD Outlines Plans for 125-TPD Compressed Biogas Facility

A 125-tonne-per-day (TPD) compressed biogas plant is proposed for an 8.4-acre site between North Delhi’s Bhalaswa and Jharoda dairy clusters. Designed to mitigate Yamuna pollution by processing local cattle waste, the facility will convert dairy refuse into clean cooking fuel, advancing renewable energy and waste management initiatives. Managed by the MCD, the project is currently in the planning and land acquisition phase, awaiting a finalized agreement with DUSIB to commence construction.
