Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to implement three projects involving a total investment of ₹18,600 crore in the state.
The proposed projects are expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 8,000 people and further strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as a key destination for industrial and infrastructure investments. The agreement was signed by representatives of L&T and the state government at the Secretariat in the presence of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and L&T Chairman and Managing Director S.N. Subrahmanyan.
The projects are expected to contribute significantly to the state's industrial growth, infrastructure development, and economic expansion while creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities. According to the state government, the agreement represents a major investment commitment and reflects continued confidence in Tamil Nadu’s business environment and growth potential.
During the event, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting L&T’s future investment and expansion plans in the state, underscoring Tamil Nadu’s focus on attracting large-scale industrial projects and fostering long-term economic development.
