Mega-Milestone: IndiGrid's ₹41B Infrastructure Drive

IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust has announced a capital expenditure plan of approximately ₹41 billion for its under-construction portfolio, which comprises six projects—four power transmission schemes and two battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.

Spread across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, the transmission projects will add 504 ckm of lines and 5,000 MVA of substation capacity. The two BESS projects will contribute 860 MWh of new storage capacity.

As of 30 September 2025, IndiGrid’s operational portfolio includes 18 power transmission projects spanning 8,742 ckm of lines and 20,050 MVA of transformation capacity across 18 states. The company also added a new BESS project in Uttar Pradesh during Q2 FY26, increasing its total storage capacity to 2.1 GWh.
