Trusted Partner: RITES Awarded MCL Rail Infrastructure Contract

RITES Ltd. has been awarded a contract by Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, to provide detailed engineering and project management consultancy (PMC) services for a key rail connectivity project linked to the proposed Phase-II SILO at MCL's Lakhanpur Area.

The scope includes end-to-end engineering and project oversight to enable efficient rail-based coal evacuation from the site—crucial for reducing turnaround times and minimizing environmental impact. The 24-month contract is part of MCL’s broader infrastructure upgrade initiative aimed at enhancing coal logistics.

This engagement underscores the strong collaboration between the two public sector enterprises and reinforces RITES’ growing presence in the eastern coal belt, cementing its reputation as a trusted consultant for rail and mining infrastructure projects.
