Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder by the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project Corporation Ltd. (ERCPCL) for a major water infrastructure project under the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP).
The contract, designated as ERCP-09-TF-7A, involves the construction of a feeder system from Khura Chainpura to Jaisamand in Alwar district, covering all associated components. The project is valued at ₹4,796.83 crore and will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). It also includes a 20-year operation and maintenance (O&M) commitment, ensuring long-term functionality and sustainable water management.
Designed to enhance water security, the feeder system will significantly boost irrigation capacity and improve drinking water availability across Rajasthan’s semi-arid eastern region.
Known for its expertise in large-scale irrigation and infrastructure development, MEIL has further solidified its position as a key player in India’s water sector. Upon completion, this project is expected to play a pivotal role in alleviating water scarcity and supporting agricultural and socio-economic development in the region.
