MIDAS Constructions has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the two-laning project of NH-127B in Meghalaya, awarded by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH). This strategic project will enhance road connectivity in the region, spanning from km 31.500 to km 63.224 in Goeragre.
The project aims to improve and widen the existing highway to two lanes with paved shoulders, addressing the growing traffic demands and improving road safety. This initiative is a part of the broader North East Road Network Connectivity Improvement program, funded through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) ODA Loan Phase-VII (Package-2).
MIDAS Constructions will execute the work on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, ensuring the project meets high standards of quality and efficiency. The EPC model facilitates streamlined project management, allowing for timely completion and cost-effective solutions.
The successful bid marks a significant achievement for MIDAS Constructions, reinforcing its position as a leading player in infrastructure development. The project not only promises to boost regional connectivity but also aims to stimulate economic growth and development in Meghalaya.
This major infrastructure upgrade is set to benefit local communities by improving access and fostering economic opportunities, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in driving regional progress.
