Mining the Future: 9th Critical Mineral Auctions Go Live

In a move to strengthen supply chains for clean energy, aerospace, electric mobility, and electronics, the Ministry of Mines has announced the 9th tranche of e-auctions for 20 critical and strategic mineral blocks. This follows the successful allocation of 64 mineral blocks out of 100 offered across the previous eight tranches.

Additionally, the Ministry has launched the 3rd round of exploration licence auctions to spur private sector participation. These licences empower private entities to conduct early-stage exploration for 29 deep-seated and critical minerals listed under the Seventh Schedule before full-scale mining begins.
