Modi's Masterplan for Rajasthan: A ₹1.22 Lakh Crore Boost

During his visit to Banswara, Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹1.22 lakh crore, with ₹1,08,468 crore allocated specifically to the state.

Key Highlights: Energy & Power:

Launch of the ₹42,000 crore Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Plant, a 2,800 MW facility that will significantly boost Rajasthan’s energy independence.

Inauguration of a ₹8,500 crore, 590 MW renewable energy plant in Bikaner. New high-capacity transmission lines (15.5 GW) across multiple districts.

Over 3,200 MW of new solar energy projects, including:

1,400 MW of commissioned solar plants, The 925 MW Nokh Solar Park in Phalodi, 895 MW of decentralized solar under PM-KUSUM-C, worth ₹3,132 crore

Water & Irrigation:

Launch of 15 drinking water supply projects across 11 districts, Major irrigation projects including the Isarda Dam and Dholpur Lift Scheme, A dedicated ₹20,833 crore water resources initiative

Infrastructure:

Two new flyovers, a bridge over the Banas River, and 119 roads under the Atal Pragati Path scheme, Seven new road projects to improve connectivity, Establishment of three new grid substations

This comprehensive package is aimed at transforming Rajasthan’s infrastructure, boosting energy self-reliance, and enhancing water security and rural connectivity across the state.
