"Modi's Mega Projects: Haryana's Development Gets a Major Boost"

On April 14, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several major development projects in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, aimed at boosting energy, infrastructure, and sustainability in the region.

A major highlight was the foundation stone laying of an 800 MW advanced thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant. Spread over 233 acres with an investment of Rs 8,470 crore, the project is expected to strengthen Haryana’s energy independence and ensure reliable power supply across the state.

In support of the GOBARDhan initiative (Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan), PM Modi also initiated the construction of a Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plant in Mukarabpur. With an annual capacity of 2,600 tonnes, the plant will aid in organic waste management, produce clean energy, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Focusing on connectivity, the Prime Minister inaugurated the 14.4-km Rewari Bypass, built at a cost of Rs 1,070 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The new bypass is expected to decongest Rewari city, cut Delhi-Narnaul travel time by nearly an hour, and spur regional development.
