Monarch Tractors Eye Telangana for New Manufacturing Hub

Monarch Tractors, a U.S.-based pioneer in driver-optional electric tractors, is exploring the possibility of establishing a manufacturing unit in Telangana. This potential investment was discussed during a recent meeting between Monarch's management team and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the United States. The discussions also covered expanding Monarch's existing research and development (R&D) facility in Hyderabad.

Chief Minister Reddy, who is leading a high-profile delegation in the U.S. to attract global investments, is keen to see Monarch Tractors enhance their footprint in Telangana. The company, which has operated an R&D center in Hyderabad since 2023, is considering scaling up this facility and introducing additional high-tech jobs in the region. They are also planning to set up an autonomous tractor testing facility to bolster their R&D capabilities.

Praveen Penmetsa, CEO of Monarch Tractors, expressed optimism about the potential expansion. “We’re thrilled about the opportunity to deepen our commitment to Telangana. Our Hyderabad R&D center has been pivotal in advancing our driver-optional smart electric tractors, and expanding here offers substantial benefits for local job creation and manufacturing.”

The Monarch team has submitted a letter of intent to explore setting up a manufacturing unit in Telangana. The company’s autonomous tractors leverage cutting-edge technologies like AI and electrification to boost agricultural productivity and sustainability.

Chief Minister Reddy welcomed the initiative, emphasizing Telangana’s ambition to become a hub for autonomous and electric vehicle technology. He expressed enthusiasm for Monarch Tractors' potential expansion, aligning with the state's vision for high-tech, environmentally friendly industry growth.
