MP Gets Future-Ready with ₹371 Cr Electronics Hub

In a significant move to boost India’s semiconductor and electronics ecosystem, Madhya Pradesh is set to establish a ₹371 crore Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in Bhopal.

The project has received in-principle approval from the Government of India and will be jointly funded—₹225 crore by the state government and ₹146 crore by the Centre. Designed as a dedicated hub for research, innovation, product development, and testing, the EMC will feature cutting-edge infrastructure including CAD/CAM design houses, tool rooms, testing and calibration labs, and EMI/EMC compliance centres.

Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya stated that the cluster aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing engineering graduates and young researchers with hands-on R&D opportunities. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav added that the project aligns with the Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Policy-2025, which targets ₹2,700 crore in investment and the creation of 14,000 jobs.

With two EMCs already approved in Bhopal and Jabalpur, the state is positioning itself as a rising hub for electronics manufacturing and innovation.
