MP Invites Bids for Rs 260 Crore Medical College in Katni

The Department of Public Health & Medical Education (DoPH & ME) in Madhya Pradesh is inviting bids to establish a new medical college in Katni. This project aims to create a 100-seat medical college alongside augmenting an attached 300-bed hospital.

The project involves designing, financing, augmenting, operating, and transferring the hospital, with the medical college utilizing these enhanced hospital facilities. The initiative follows a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, promoting collaboration between the government and private entities for better healthcare infrastructure.

The estimated project cost, excluding the augmentation of the existing district hospital, is Rs 260 crore. This significant investment aims to bolster medical education and healthcare services in the region.

Interested bidders need to submit their proposals by the closing date of September 17, 2024. This deadline ensures ample time for thorough planning and submission of competitive bids.

Additionally, DoPH & ME has announced tenders for similar medical facilities in other regions, including Balaghat, Morena, Panna, Bhind, Dhar, Khargone, Sidhi, Tikamgarh, and Betul, indicating a broad effort to enhance medical infrastructure across Madhya Pradesh.
