MP's Renewable Rise: REC's ₹21,000 Crore Commitment

REC, a key NBFC under the Ministry of Power, has signed an MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh at the Global Investors Summit 2025.

Under this agreement, REC will invest ₹21,000 crore over five years to enhance the state's power infrastructure. The MoU was formalized in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Neeraj Mandloi, MPPMCL MD Avinash Lawania, and senior officials from REC and MPPMCL.

The investment will focus on strengthening transmission and distribution networks, promoting renewable energy, and improving power reliability for industries, businesses, and households. Officials emphasized that this initiative will play a crucial role in bolstering Madhya Pradesh’s energy infrastructure and advancing its clean energy transition.
