Mumbai Metro Line 14: Bridging Kanjurmarg to Badlapur

Mumbai Metro Line 14, a 38-km corridor connecting Kanjurmarg to Badlapur, is set to commence within a year as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) accelerates preparations.

MMRDA has begun appointing a consultant to conduct an environmental impact assessment and obtain clearances from the forest and environment departments. Once onboard, the consultant will streamline the approval process, paving the way for construction to begin within twelve months. For Badlapur residents, this long-awaited metro line promises to significantly reduce their current 1.5 to 2-hour commute.

As Mumbai’s Metro network expands to 337 km across multiple corridors, Metro Line 14 is expected to enhance connectivity and improve daily travel for thousands of passengers. The detailed project report (DPR), prepared by Milan Metro, has already received approval from IIT Bombay.
