Mumbai Real Estate Boom: WSB's 800 Crore Investment Play

WSB Real Estate Partners, a fund management firm, plans to invest Rs 500 crore in FY26 and is actively exploring new investment opportunities. The company has already committed over Rs 300 crore to three Mumbai-based developers—Notandas Realty, Vijay Khetan Group, and Bagasrawala Corporation—under its newly launched ‘Mumbai Opportunities Strategy.’

Specialising in early-stage, pre-approval deals, WSB focuses on opportunities that banks and NBFCs cannot pursue but are accessible to alternative investment funds. The firm has raised capital from a diverse group of investors and employs a structured equity investment approach, aiming for an internal rate of return (IRR) exceeding 25 percent.

According to Vimal Jangla, Managing Partner at WSB, “Post-Covid, Mumbai's real estate market is experiencing a sustainable upward trend, with infrastructure set to drive demand for quality housing. We are particularly optimistic about opportunities in pre-approval stage funding.” Jangla also pointed out that tax concessions in the latest Budget are likely to benefit mid-market housing segments in cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai.
