In a major push for regional industrialization, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu formally launched the construction of the JSW Steel plant at Sunnapurallapalli village. Naidu stated that production is on track to commence within two years, delivering a substantial economic boost to the Rayalaseema area.
Emphasizing the state NDA government's strategic efforts to attract heavy industries, Naidu reiterated a commitment to utilizing and processing local natural resources like iron ore to maximize domestic job creation. According to official figures, aggregate investments in the Rayalaseema region have reached ₹11 lakh crore, laying the groundwork for an estimated nine lakh new employment opportunities.
