Neel Shree Sugar Private Limited is embarking on an ambitious venture with the development of a Grain Based Distillery Unit in Vela village, Sitapur district, Uttar Pradesh. With an estimated investment of ₹112 Crore, this project represents a significant expansion for the company within the sugar and ethanol production sector. The integrated setup comprises three key units: a Grain Based Distillery Unit, a Co-generation Power Plant, and a Sugar Crushing Unit, each playing a crucial role in the ethanol production process.
The Grain Based Distillery Unit is designed to produce 75 Kilo Liters Per Day (klpd) of ethanol, leveraging grains as the primary feedstock. Ethanol, a renewable fuel derived from plant-based sources, serves as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels, contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and promoting environmental sustainability. The Co-generation Power Plant, with a capacity of 2.5 MegaWatt (MW), harnesses process heat generated during ethanol production to generate electricity, thus reducing reliance on the grid and promoting energy efficiency.
Additionally, the project includes a Sugar Crushing Unit capable of crushing 1,000 Tonnes Cane Crushed Per Day (tccpd), facilitating the utilization of sugarcane as a feedstock for ethanol production. This integrated approach not only optimizes resource utilization but also enhances the overall efficiency and profitability of the ethanol production process. By utilizing multiple feedstocks and generating electricity from process heat, Neel Shree Sugar Private Limited is demonstrating its commitment to sustainable practices and resource optimization.
Co-generation power plants play a crucial role in promoting sustainable energy practices by utilizing waste heat from industrial processes to generate electricity. By incorporating this technology into the project, Neel Shree Sugar Private Limited aims to reduce its environmental footprint and contribute to India's transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources. As the project is currently in the planning stage, further details such as timelines and environmental impact assessments are expected to be disclosed as the project progresses, providing stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of its scope and implications.
