Nellore's ₹115 CR Leap: Underpass Approval Clears the Track!

The Union Government has approved a ₹115 crore project for the construction of a Vehicle Underpass (VUP) at Chintareddypalem Junction on the National Highway, aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing road safety.

The long-awaited project also includes the development of service roads connecting Chintareddypalem Junction to Muthukur Road, which will further streamline traffic flow and minimize accident risks at this busy intersection.

Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, who has actively championed the project since his election, held multiple discussions with Union Ministers and raised the matter in the Lok Sabha. His persistent efforts, supported by State IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh, have culminated in this key approval.

Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, MP Reddy described the sanction as a “dream come true” for the people of Nellore. Local residents also welcomed the decision, calling it a major relief after years of traffic woes and safety concerns.
