New Wings for India: Tata Projects Delivers Noida’s Mega Airport

Tata Projects has announced that the Noida International Airport is fully prepared for commercial operations after obtaining all required regulatory clearances.

This milestone marks the completion of the airport’s construction phase, with Tata Projects acting as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor. The company stated that securing these approvals highlights its capability to deliver large-scale, complex infrastructure projects that contribute to India’s growth ambitions.

The airport, developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited—a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG—is strategically located in western Uttar Pradesh. It is expected to enhance aviation capacity in the National Capital Region while supporting economic growth, logistics, tourism, and urban development.

In its first phase, the airport includes Terminal 1, spanning over 1 lakh square metres and designed to handle up to 12 million passengers annually. The terminal is equipped with advanced digital systems to ensure smooth and efficient passenger processing. The facility also features a 3,900-metre runway capable of handling wide-body aircraft, along with a modern cargo terminal, an Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, and extensive airside and landside infrastructure.

Tata Projects’ EPC responsibilities covered the construction of the terminal building, runway, airside and landside infrastructure, roads, utilities, cargo terminal, ATC tower, and other supporting facilities.
