NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) is seeking expressions of interest (EoI) for the development and installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant with a battery energy storage system (BESS) in Great Nicobar Island (GNI).
The project scope includes the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a ground-mounted solar PV system integrated with BESS. It also involves transmitting power to existing substations and conducting a detailed study of the island’s energy needs and transmission infrastructure. This study will help determine the optimal capacity of the renewable energy project and the required storage solutions. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Power’s (MoP) holistic development plan for the island.
The deadline for EoI submission is April 18, 2025.
