NGEL’s Solar Streak: 125 MW Goes Live at Bhadla

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the commencement of commercial operations of an additional 125 MW capacity at its solar project in Bhadla, Rajasthan.

The newly commissioned capacity forms part of the larger 500 MW solar park at Phalodi, which is being developed and operated by NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL. With this addition, NTPC Green Energy’s total installed commercial capacity has increased to 8,813.25 MW, underscoring the company’s steady progress in expanding its renewable energy portfolio.

The development marks an important milestone in the phased expansion of the Bhadla solar project, one of India’s largest solar parks. NTPC Green Energy continues to accelerate its renewable energy rollout, including the recent commissioning of the first phase of a 1.2 GW solar project in Gujarat, highlighting its growing footprint in clean energy generation across the country.
