NH-75 Four-Laning: KCCI Optimistic for May 2025 Completion

The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is optimistic that major construction on the four-laning of National Highway (NH) 75—from BC Road in Dakshina Kannada to Donigal in Sakleshpur taluk, Hassan district—will be completed by May 2025.

NH 75 is a vital transport corridor linking Mangaluru and Bengaluru, and the long-delayed project is critical for boosting trade and easing travel in the region. KCCI President Anand G Pai noted that the Chamber has consistently pushed for faster progress, citing the highway’s importance for export-import activity and the frequent monsoon-related disruptions caused by landslides.

Over the past decade, KCCI has worked with both State and Central governments to address the delays. In the last two years, the Chamber has ramped up its advocacy through formal representations and direct engagement with Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, urging them to expedite the project.
