NMDC Teams Up with GAIL Gas for Cleaner Energy at Nagarnar Plant

State-owned NMDC has partnered with GAIL Gas through a long-term Gas Sale Agreement (GSA) to supply natural gas to its 2.0 MTPA iron ore pellet plant in Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh. As part of the initiative, GAIL Gas will extend the pipeline network from Dhamra Port to Damanjodi—building a dedicated receiving and metering station at Nagarnar. This strategic shift from furnace oil to cleaner natural gas will help NMDC lower emissions, boost operational efficiency, enhance product quality, and expand eco-friendly industrial infrastructure in the Jagdalpur region.
