Noida Airport's Emergency Corridor Linking to Yamuna Expressway on Track

Noida District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma on Tuesday reviewed the construction of an 8-kilometre emergency access road near the Noida International Airport. Built by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the 30-metre-wide road is designed to provide swift access for emergency services such as ambulances, police, fire, and cargo vehicles.

The road will connect the airport’s cargo terminal to Sector 28 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), ultimately linking with the Yamuna Expressway.

“This road is a crucial emergency corridor for the airport,” Verma told TOI. “It’s a flagship project for both the central and state governments, and delays will not be tolerated. All departments have been directed to expedite the work.”

During the visit, SDM Jewar Abhay Kumar Singh reported that levelling work is underway and the project remains on schedule for completion within six months.
