Noida Sports City Revival: Conditional OCs Approved by SC.

In a significant relief for thousands of homebuyers, the Supreme Court has instructed the Noida Authority to issue conditional occupancy certificates (OCs) for multiple housing projects in Sector 150 developed under the Sports City scheme.

The order, passed on November 24, comes after the Noida Authority approved a comprehensive resolution plan for the long-stalled project. Originally allotted to Lotus Green Constructions (LGCPL) and later sub-leased to 24 different developers, the 300-acre project includes nearly 20,000 housing units that have remained delayed since 2014.

The resolution plan outlines steps to lift the ban imposed in January 2021 and provides a roadmap for developers to meet building regulations and clear outstanding dues. According to Lokesh M, CEO of the Noida Authority, “We will take the matter to our board for approvals as per the court order.”

Developers will be eligible for final OCs only after clearing dues and completing pending construction. Additionally, all planned sports facilities must be completed within three years.
