Novonesis Powers Up India Hub with €600M Patalganga Expansion

Novonesis is set to invest €600 million (approximately Rs 6,600 crore) to significantly expand its Patalganga facility in Maharashtra, positioning the site as a premier global manufacturing hub for India, South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

The phased expansion aims to nearly quadruple the facility's existing capacity ahead of full operations by 2030. Designed as one of the world's most advanced enzyme-production sites, the upgraded plant will cater to diverse sectors such as biofuels, household care, and food and beverages, while enhancing the flexibility, efficiency, and resilience of the company's global supply network.

This major capital allocation underscores India's strategic weight in Novonesis' emerging-markets growth trajectory and aligns with its broader global strategy to scale up sustainable manufacturing footprint.
