Odisha Unlocks ₹4,982 Crore Investment, Creating 12,000 Jobs

The Odisha State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, has approved 23 investment proposals totaling ₹4,982.66 crore, expected to generate 11,933 jobs across 12 districts.

The approved projects span key sectors including aerospace and defence, textiles, steel, food processing, renewable energy, tourism, IT, and pharmaceuticals. Notably, BonV Technology, a deep-tech startup, will invest ₹300 crore to set up a state-of-the-art drone manufacturing park in Khurda, integrating R&D, production, and training, and creating 760 jobs.

In the textile sector, KPR Mill will invest ₹350 crore in a garment unit in Khurda, generating employment for 5,000 people. In the steel industry, Vidya Minerals, Jatia Steel, and Amsted Steel Foundries have proposed investments of ₹620 crore, ₹451.9 crore, and ₹250 crore respectively.

Food processing will see ₹320 crore from Hindustan Aqua in Sundargarh and ₹114.34 crore from Pragati Milk in Balasore. The tourism sector received a boost with six projects worth ₹479 crore, including the development of five-star and three-star hotels in Puri, Daringbadi, and Taptapani.

Additionally, investments in green energy and IT from companies like Luminous Power, Ecodynamix, Linde India, Synnat Pharma, and Apmosys Technologies underscore Odisha’s growing appeal as an investment destination.
