Oilmax Energy Wins DSF Bid Round-IV Contract Ahead of AESL Merger

Oilmax Energy (OEPL) has secured Contract Area GK/OSDSF/GKOSN/2025 under India’s DSF Bid Round-IV, as communicated by the DGH via a Letter of Award dated August 31, 2026. OEPL will serve as the operator with a 50 percent participating interest, pending the execution of a definitive Revenue Sharing Contract.

While the award was issued directly to OEPL rather than its subsidiary Asian Energy Services (AESL), the development carries substantial weight due to their pending corporate structure. The NCLT is currently in the final hearing stage regarding the Scheme of Merger by Absorption of OEPL into AESL. Once the merger becomes effective, all associated assets, licences, and operational blocks of OEPL—including this newly awarded contract area—will officially vest with AESL.
