On Fast Track: Pink & Blue Line Trials Set for November 2026

Bengaluru Metro's expansion is moving into a crucial phase, with BMRCL setting its sights on trial runs for key sections of the Pink and Blue lines by November 2026, ahead of a planned public launch in May 2027.

For the 21 km Pink Line (Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara), underground trials between Dairy Circle and Shivajinagar are expected by late October or November, while its 7.5 km elevated stretch to Tavarekere has already cleared statutory safety inspections. Meanwhile, the Blue Line—designed to link key tech corridors along the Outer Ring Road—is slated for trials between the Byappanahalli depot, KR Pura, and Marathahalli by November 15, 2026, backed by recently delivered BEML trainsets. Together, these milestones will push Bengaluru's active metro network from 96.1 km to 103.6 km.
