Optiemus Electronics (OEL) is stepping into the telecom equipment manufacturing sector, partnering with Tata Group’s Tejas Networks. The collaboration will see Optiemus leverage Tejas Networks’ expertise to produce a diverse range of telecom products, including 4G base band units, remote radio heads, ONTs, ONUs, broadband switches, and routers from its Noida, Uttar Pradesh facility.
This move aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aiming to boost domestic manufacturing capabilities for telecom equipment. Optiemus will offer comprehensive solutions, including manufacturing, supply chain management, and repair/refurbishment services to both Indian and global clients.
Tejas Networks, a key player in the Indian telecom sector, is renowned for its high-performance wireline and wireless networking products. Over the past decade, Tejas has become a trusted partner for telecommunications service providers, contributing to the telecom equipment sector’s impressive Rs 50,000 crore production milestone and Rs 10,500 crore in exports, according to the Ministry of Communications.
