PGEL and PAX Global Partner to "Make in India" POS Devices

PG Electroplast Ltd. (PGEL), a leading Indian electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider, has entered into a definitive agreement with PAX India, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed PAX Global Technology, to manufacture PAX-branded point-of-sale (POS) devices locally.

Production is set to commence by the end of 2025 at PGEL’s existing manufacturing facilities, marking the company’s strategic entry into the payments and fintech hardware space.

“We are proud to partner with PAX, a global leader in POS solutions, to bring cutting-edge digital payment hardware to India under the Make in India initiative,” said Vikas Gupta, Managing Director – Operations, PG Electroplast. “This collaboration positions PGEL among the few Indian manufacturers of POS devices, further diversifying our portfolio and supporting our vision to scale EMS capabilities in fast-growing technology segments.”

Aligned with the Government of India’s “Make in India” and “Digital India” initiatives, the partnership aims to deliver scalable, reliable, and locally manufactured payment solutions to meet the country’s growing demand for secure digital transactions.
