PM Modi Launches ₹426 Cr Development Push at Ekta Nagar

On October 31, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a major boost to tourism and infrastructure surrounding the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The Prime Minister inaugurated 23 development projects valued at ₹307.83 crore and laid the foundation stones for eight upcoming projects worth ₹118.88 crore. Representing a total investment of ₹426.71 crore, the initiatives aim to enhance visitor facilities, eco-tourism, and civic amenities. Key inaugurated attractions and upgrades include a ₹50 crore IRCTC hotel, the ₹16 crore Ekta Cruise, a ₹14.30 crore Rain Forest attraction, an Eco-Trail, expanded terminal facilities, upgraded lighting, and extended walkways. Future developments feature the ₹59.32 crore Gora-Bhanadra Road and a ₹36.58 crore Smart Zero Waste integrated facility.
