The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art super specialty hospital in the Naini area. The project, estimated at ₹65.98 crore, aims to provide advanced healthcare facilities to the residents of Prayagraj and surrounding regions. The detailed project report (DPR) for the hospital has been prepared, and the facility will be equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and specialized departments to cater to a wide range of health needs.
During the municipal corporation's executive meeting in July, several key decisions were made, including the allocation of ₹100 crore for the improvement of roads within the city under the Chief Minister’s Grid (CM-Grid) initiative. This move is expected to significantly enhance the city's infrastructure, ensuring better connectivity and road safety for its residents.
In addition to the hospital and road improvements, the PMC has also approved a ₹200 crore project focused on drainage and drinking water supply in the city’s extended border areas. This project is crucial for addressing water-related issues in these regions, ensuring that residents have access to clean and reliable water sources.
Moreover, the executive meeting also discussed proposals for various road construction works. A separate ₹50 crore has been allocated under the Chief Minister’s Global Nagarodaya Yojana (CM-VNY) for the selection of additional projects aimed at urban development. These initiatives reflect the PMC's commitment to improving the city's infrastructure and quality of life for its residents.
The super specialty hospital in Naini, along with the other approved projects, is set to transform the healthcare and infrastructure landscape of Prayagraj, positioning the city as a hub of modern amenities and services in the region.
