RITES Limited has awarded a major contract to M/s Kailash Electricals, marking a significant milestone in the electrification of Panki Railway Station. The contract, valued at INR 7.37 crore, involves extensive Overhead Equipment (OHE), Sub-Sectioning and Paralleling Post (SSP), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) works. This project aims to boost the efficiency and reliability of railway operations at Panki, ensuring smoother and more efficient service.
The awarded contract encompasses the design, drawing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 25KV, 50Hz single-phase OHE, along with necessary modifications to existing lines. The work also includes the construction of foundations and anchor blocks for traction structures and civil works. The detailed planning and execution will be carried out in close coordination with the North Central Railway, ensuring compliance with all required specifications and standards.
With a contract period of six months, the project includes the provision of 11 TKM new conventional OHE and modification of existing lines. Kailash Electricals will also prepare and get approval for essential layout plans and working drawings from the concerned railway authorities.
The scope of work covers both concrete and steel structure designs, ensuring robust and durable construction. This project is a crucial development for the Panki Thermal Power Plant Railway Sidings and is expected to significantly enhance the operational performance of Panki Railway Station.
