Power Up the Future: Bid Now for NTPC's 1200 MW Solar Initiative

NTPC Limited, a prominent Indian government enterprise, has announced a significant opportunity for solar power generators across India. The company issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under IFB No.: NTPC/RE-CS/2024-25/Solar-01 on June 17, 2024, aiming to procure 1200 MW of solar power through Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected projects.

The bidding process, set as a single-stage, two-envelope system, requires separate submissions for technical and financial bids. Interested parties can download bidding documents from the official e-tender portal between June 20 and July 4, 2024. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 5, 2024, with bid submission closing on July 18, 2024. Technical bids will be opened on the same day, followed by a reverse auction at a later date.

To participate, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 11.6 lakh per MW alongside necessary documentation. The process emphasizes transparency, with NTPC retaining the right to reject any bids without disclosing reasons.

Prospective bidders are required to register with ISN Electronic Tender Services and obtain official bidding documents priced at INR 22,500. Bidders from neighboring countries must also comply with Indian regulatory requirements unless exempted.
