Powering India's Oil & Gas Sector: The NRDC-ONGC Technology Alliance

The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) have forged a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to accelerate the commercial deployment of indigenous technologies.

This partnership establishes a formal framework to evaluate innovations originating from ONGC’s research ecosystem for broad industrial application. NRDC brings specialized capabilities in technology valuation, intellectual-property management, and licensing execution, while ONGC contributes core technical expertise in petroleum exploration and energy operations, particularly through its KDMIPE research facility.

By bridging the gap between laboratory research and commercial readiness, the initiative aims to drive the large-scale adoption of advanced solutions across India's oil and gas sector.
