Powering Pugal: RRVUNL's Tender for a 3,310 MW Solar Park

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RRVUNL) has floated a tender for the construction of five 400 kV transmission lines to interconnect four power plant stations (PPS-1 to PPS-4) within its planned 3,310 MW Pugal Solar Park in Bikaner district.

The project aims to facilitate efficient power evacuation from the solar park to the proposed Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (RVPN) grid substation (GSS). The scope of work includes route survey, detailed design, supply of materials, erection, testing, and commissioning of the transmission infrastructure.

These high-voltage transmission lines are critical for integrating large-scale renewable energy into the state grid, alleviating transmission bottlenecks, and enhancing overall grid reliability.

The completion timeline is set at 15 months from the date of Letter of Award (LoA) for transmission lines 1 and 2, and 18 months for the full scope of the project.

The bid submission deadline is 08 September 2025.
