Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced that Telangana aims to generate 20,000 MW of renewable energy and create 1.14 lakh employment opportunities by 2030 as part of its Clean and Green Energy Policy-2025.
Speaking at the Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam event in Khammam, he outlined the government's plans, which include investments worth ₹1.98 lakh crore. Key initiatives under the policy feature the installation of 2 MW solar power plants operated by women self-help groups through the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme, and the provision of solar pump sets to 550 tribal farmers under the Indira Solar Girijana Vikasam Scheme.
He also highlighted ongoing infrastructure developments in Khammam, such as a ₹180-crore cable-stayed bridge over the Munneru river, a ₹130-crore medical college, and a new 50-bed critical care block.
