OneOTT Intertainment Ltd. (OIL), the broadband subsidiary of Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission (STC) to expand broadband connectivity across Uttar Pradesh under Project GANGA – Government Assisted Network for Growth & Advancement.
The agreement was signed in Lucknow by Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of STC, and Vynsley Fernandes, Whole-Time Director of HGS and Managing Director & CEO of OIL. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister for Finance and Parliamentary Affairs of Uttar Pradesh.
Under the initiative, OIL plans to empower around 8,000 to 10,000 local entrepreneurs at the Nyaya Panchayat level to operate as independent Digital Service Providers (DSPs). These entrepreneurs will deliver wired broadband services to households and businesses across the state, helping expand digital access and support local economic growth.
