The project involves the construction of bridge substructures, fabrication of superstructures, and the launching of two major bridges—Bridge No. 247 and Bridge No. 287—across the River Rapti. These structures will comprise 10 spans of 61.0 meters each for a double-line configuration, designed to meet RDSO standards for 25-tonne axle loading.
The bridges form part of the new railway line between Khalilabad and Bahraich stations under the North Eastern Railway. The scope of work also includes the construction of double D-type well foundations.
This project is expected to significantly enhance rail connectivity in the region and contribute to overall regional infrastructure development.
