The Public Works Department (PWD), Assam, is currently seeking bids for the construction of a Medical College (100 admissions) and Hospital in the Sivasagar district of the state under the PM-DevINE scheme. The project will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.
The comprehensive scope of work encompasses various key aspects, including topographical survey, soil investigation, preparation of architectural drawings, detailed working drawings, and structural design for the buildings. Additionally, the project involves handling essential services, such as electrical installations, water supply pumps, sub-station, DG set with AMF panel, lightning protection, fire detection, UPS, lifts, air conditioning, and lighting.
The buildings are expected to be designed and registered to achieve a three-star GRIHA rating. The contract also entails securing mandatory approvals from local bodies, state and central authorities, Municipal Corporation, and obtaining Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) clearance.
The anticipated completion time for the project is 24 months, which includes both construction and subsequent operation & maintenance work. The contract further includes a defect liability period of 12 months to ensure the quality and functionality of the constructed facilities.
