The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Rajasthan has announced a ₹197.09 crore bid invitation for the rehabilitation and strengthening of the water supply system in the Kekri-Sarwar area under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). This project aims to enhance the water production and distribution system in the Ajmer district, sourcing water from the Bisalpur Dam.
The project involves the complete overhaul of the existing water infrastructure, including the installation of new pumping systems, overhead storage reservoirs (OHSRs), and the distribution network, along with the provision of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs).
The contract includes a 20-month completion period, followed by a one-year defect liability period (DLP). After the DLP, a comprehensive ten-year maintenance plan will ensure the long-term functionality of the system.
Bidders must submit their proposals by 19 September 2024. The project is a significant step towards improving water supply reliability and sustainability in the Kekri-Sarwar region.
