Rajasthan Signs ₹1,200 Cr Deal for Major EV Bus Factory

A major electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility is set to come up in Ghiloth Industrial Area, Neemrana tehsil, along the Delhi–Jaipur National Highway in Rajasthan.

PMI Electro Mobility Solutions will invest ₹1,200 crore to establish the plant over 65.56 acres, following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in December 2024. The upcoming facility will assemble electric buses and manufacture key components such as bus bodies, electric motors, and batteries, with an annual production capacity of 33,000 units. The project land has been allotted by the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO).

According to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the project will position Rajasthan as a leading EV manufacturing hub, creating significant employment and skill development opportunities in the field of electromobility. The initiative is also expected to advance green industrialisation, curb pollution, and support sustainable urban development across the state.
