Ramkrishna Forgings has announced its entry into the aluminium forging sector, with plans to establish a new facility in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The company will invest Rs 57.5 crore in the project, which is expected to have a total capacity of 3,000 tonnes per annum (TPA). The facility is set to be operational by the second quarter of FY 2025-26.
This move marks the Kolkata-based company's foray into aluminium forging, a key component in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. By producing lightweight components, Ramkrishna Forgings aims to boost vehicle performance, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce environmental impact.
