Rashmi Group, a leading Indian industrial conglomerate known for its ductile iron pipe manufacturing, has announced plans to establish a steel production unit in Telangana with an investment of ₹12,500 crore.
The proposed facility is expected to generate up to 12,000 direct and indirect jobs, providing a significant boost to the state’s industrial and manufacturing ecosystem. The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Telangana Rising delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, during the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos. Group promoter Sajjan Kumar Patwari and Director Sanjib Kumar Patwari reaffirmed their commitment to setting up the steel plant in the state. The Chief Minister welcomed the investment, noting that it aligns with Telangana’s growth strategy and emphasis on manufacturing. The state government has assured full support for the project, including coal supply linkages.
Separately, AB InBev announced a major investment to expand its operations in Telangana, aimed at driving additional revenue and growth. The company currently employs around 600 people across two plants in the state and operates in over 50 countries worldwide.
