Reliance Industries’ multi-modal logistics park project at Mappedu near Chennai has reportedly been renamed Chennai Global Logistics Park Ltd, with Dubai-based DP World joining the project as a joint venture partner, according to multiple sources.
Sources familiar with the development said DP World has acquired a 49 per cent stake in the venture and has also taken approximately two lakh sq ft of warehousing space within the logistics park.
The proposed logistics hub is expected to strengthen freight handling and warehousing infrastructure in the Chennai region, supporting growing demand for integrated logistics and supply chain services.
However, both Reliance Industries and DP World declined to officially comment on the reported partnership and restructuring of the project.
