Relux & TNGECL: 500 Chargers for a Greener TN

Relux Electric has entered into a strategic partnership with the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) to establish 500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the state, supporting Tamil Nadu’s vision for sustainable and clean mobility.

A feasibility study is underway to identify suitable government-owned land for installing the stations. This initiative will significantly expand the state’s EV infrastructure, which currently includes approximately 1,300 charging stations. Additionally, a digital map is being developed to help users easily locate nearby charging points.

TNGECL also plans to introduce dedicated EV hubs equipped with user-friendly amenities to enhance the charging experience and encourage broader adoption. The collaboration will work closely with municipal bodies and public institutions to improve accessibility and ensure optimal site placement.

This partnership marks a major step in accelerating EV adoption in Tamil Nadu, positioning the state as an emerging electric mobility hub in India.
