RenewSys & Kosol Energie Ink 1.1 GW Solar Deal

RenewSys, a Mumbai-based solar module component manufacturer, has secured a significant order to supply 1.1 GW of polyolefin elastomer (POE) encapsulants to Kosol Energie.

The encapsulants—designed to protect solar cells from moisture, UV exposure, and other environmental factors—will be delivered between December 2025 and September 2026. They will be used in the production of high-efficiency solar modules at Kosol Energie’s advanced manufacturing facilities. RenewSys currently produces 30 GW of encapsulants and 4 GW of backsheets, and is expanding its capacity further. Its POE encapsulants, marketed under the CONSERV brand, are UL-certified and suitable for both glass-glass and glass-backsheet module configurations.

The CONSERV E360 variant, known for its low thermal shrinkage and ultra-low string shifting, enhances module performance while enabling shorter lamination cycles. “These encapsulants provide better aesthetics and more efficient module manufacturing,” the company said. Kosol Energie, a specialist in solar modules and integrated solutions, has executed over 1 GW of solar projects.
