The RPSG Group, led by Chairman Sanjiv Goenka, is poised to foray into the solar cell and module manufacturing sector, with initial production capacity expected to go live in the coming days.
Outlining the Group’s long-term vision, Chairman Goenka stated that within three years, RPSG aims to establish 3 GW each of solar cell and module capacity. A significant portion of this output will be utilized internally across the Group’s facilities, with plans also in place to export to global markets, supported by what he described as a “very good business model.”
Chairman Goenka also reaffirmed the Group’s confidence in achieving a market capitalisation of Rs 2 lakh crore within the next 30 months. Renewable energy is a key pillar of the Group’s growth strategy, forming a substantial part of its Rs 1 lakh crore capex planned over the next five years.
The Group is targeting 10 GW of renewable energy capacity over six years, with 3.2 GW currently under implementation and an additional 4 GW nearing financial closure, further cementing its commitment to India’s clean energy transition.
