The Greater Noida Authority is on track to complete its Ganga water supply project by March 2026, which will extend treated Ganga water to the remaining four sectors of the city’s 58 areas.
The initiative aims to provide 210 million litres per day (MLD) of water to 1.2 million residents. Currently, it supplies water to 54 sectors and six villages. “The Authority is committed to completing the project as quickly as possible to ensure all citizens have access to quality drinking water. We have further expedited the work to reach areas that are yet to receive the Ganga water supply,” said Ravi Kumar NG, CEO of Greater Noida Authority.
Valued at ₹849 crore, the project, initiated in 2005, overcame delays related to land acquisition and legal challenges. Key infrastructure—including water treatment plants, pipelines, and underground reservoirs—is largely completed, paving the way for full-scale operations.
